Kidz First ambassador Manu Vatuvei and his Vodafone Warriors team-mates Charlie Gubb, David Fusitu’a and Tuimoala Lolohea hosted a ‘Jammies in June’ pyjama party for patients at Kidz First Children’s Hospital on Thursday.

A Kidz First ambassador for three years, Vatuvei has again provided assistance with Kidz First’s ‘Jammies in June’, a campaign which encourages the public to donate new pairs of warm winter pyjamas for children admitted to the hospital.

This year Fusitu’a has joined Vatuvei as a new ambassador for the campaign.

“It's a really good idea and one that is easy to understand,” said Fusitu’a.

“If kids are cold then they’re more likely to get sick. A warm pair of pyjamas can help. I’d really like to help Manu get the message out about how people can donate and why they should.”

Dressed in Vodafone Warriors onesies, Vatuvei, Gubb, Fusitu’a and Lolohea joined the young patients playing games on PlayStation, having games of quoits and completing puzzles. They also delivered a yummy morning tea with a cake in the shape of a Vodafone Warriors jersey. After all, what’s a party without a cake?
