A stunning 10-try 58-6 demolition of the Sydney Roosters tonight has taken the Vodafone Junior Warriors within one win of playing in their third NYC grand final in four years. Photosport
An impressive first half performance carried them to a 22-0 halftime lead at Allianz Stadium before they unleashed on the third-ranked Roosters with six more tries to rack up their best win of the season so far.
Leading the way on the score sheet was standoff Tuimoala Lolohea whose speed and dazzling feet provided four tries and very nearly five to lift his total for the year to 22 while his halves partner Mason Lino kicked nine of 10 conversion attempts to blast past 100 points for the second successive season.
The Roosters beat the Vodafone Junior Warriors twice earlier in the regular season, winning 24-20 at Eden Park in March and 31-26 at Allianz Stadium in June. They also knocked the Vodafone Junior Warriors out of the finals last year but tonights display more than avenged those setbacks.
It was a sorry end to the season for the Roosters as they shipped more than 100 points in two successive finals losses, defeated 22-48 by Penrith last week and now 6-58.
