Packer was having only his second game back after being sidelined with the injury.


Hes out this weekend but its hoped hell be available again the following week.

Sam Lousi is out for another week with a knee complaint. Its yet to be confirmed when hell be able to return.


Second rower John Palavi (knee) missed the Vulcans encounter with the Bulldogs last week but has been named to travel to Sydney for Saturdays clash against Wyong.


Also set to return are Carlos Tuimavave (hamstring) and David Fusitua (elbow). Tuimavave has been named at fullback for the Vulcans while Fusitua, who has played for the Vulcans recently, could turn out for the Vodafone Junior Warriors against Penrith at Mount Smart Stadium on Sunday.
