After staying alive to make the play-offs last week the One New Zealand Warriors face the same scenario today in their week one elimination finals encounter with the Newtown Jets at St George Venues Jubilee Stadium in Sydney today (3.00p[m kick-off).
As the fifth-ranked qualifiers the defending premiers face fourth-placed Newtown needing to win to stay in the race for a repeat appearance in the grand final.
They go into the match with a much-changed lineup from the one which drew with 10-10 last weekend.
Centre Jye Linnane, back rower Morgan Gannon and hooker Makaia Tafua are all in the NRL squad for today’s final regular season clash against the Sharks in Auckland but standoff Luke Hanson returns after being on first-grade duty last week.
Winger Harry Tauafiafi is out replaced by Brandon Norris, Motu Pasikala comes in for Linnane, Amasio Tiatia starts at hooker, Riley Price moves to loose forward and Rodney Tuipulotu-Vea comes into the starting front row.
