Maxigesic Recovery Report: NRL and NRLW squads

Injured winger Dallin Watene-Zelezniak is expected to be available for the One New Zealand Warriors’ NRL finals campaign.

After having surgery on the right clavicle (collar bone) he broke in Saturday night’s round 25 encounter with the Rabbitohs, it has been confirmed today that the 31-year-old veteran is in line to return during the playoffs.

Watene-Zelezniak sufferd the injury when he was ankle-tapped by South Sydney’s Cody Walker just short of scoring a try in the first half during the 45-26 win at Accor Stadium in Sydney.   

He landed heavily on his right shoulder again after heroically scoring his 79th try for the Warriors in the opening minutes of the second half before leaving the field.

Coming off the Warriors’ injured list is halfback Te Maire Martin who has missed the last three matches with a hamstring injury.

As well as Watene-Zelezniak, halfback Luke Metcalf (hamstring) and prop Jackson Ford (pectoral) are expected to be back for the finals.

Utility back Emmanita Paki has joined the NRLW squad's casualty list after being forced off the field with an ankle injury in last Sunday's loss to the Roosters.
