Second rower Kurt Capewell has secured a fourth campaign with the One New Zealand Warriors after signing a one-year contract to the end of the 2027 NRL season.
Originally signed on a three-year deal from the Brisbane Broncos in late 2023, the 32-year-old Capewell has just come off his sixth State of Origin campaign for Queensland.
Closing in on 200 NRL career appearances, he boasts significant finals experience in his time with the Sharks, Panthers, Broncos and Warriors including premiership success with Penrith in 2021 and a grand final loss with Brisbane in 2023.
“Kurt has been tremendous for our club in every respect over the last three years,” said One New Zealand Warriors general manager recruitment, pathways and development Andrew McFadden.
“He brings so much with his experience, leadership and passion as well as being a terrific mentor for our young forwards coming through the system."
Capewell makes his 47th NRL appearance for the Warriors in Saturday night’s round 20 encounter with the Dragons at Go Media Stadium.

Capewell’s NRL career dates back to his four-season stint with the Sharks from 2016-2019 followed by two years with Penrith in 2020 and 2021 and two with the Broncos in 2022 and 2023.
