Maxigesic Recovery Report: ACL setback confirmed for Boyd

One New Zealand Warriors halfback Tanah Boyd will miss the rest of the season after scans confirmed he ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee early in Sunday’s Magic Round clash against the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium.

No contact was involved when Boyd suffered the injury just six minutes into a contest the Warriors went on to win 42-12.

A date for surgery is to be confirmed.

While Boyd joins the list of injured players, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck has been cleared to return from the AC shoulder issue suffered in the round nine win over the Eels on May 2 ruling him out of Magic Round.

A return to play date hasn’t yet been set for fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad (neck) while winger Haizyn Mellars (hamstring) and Rocco Berry (shoulder) are in line to be available next week.
