Live Blog: Warriors make it five straight with stunning display

Bring on Origin: Dylan Edwards and Brian To'o will be part of the NSW backline when Laurie Daley names his team on Monday and they tuned up with big metres and big impact against the Dragons. Fullback Edwards had 31 runs for 294 metres and broke five tackles while winger To'o racked up 234 metres and a try. And playmaking supremo Nathan Cleary produced two try assists, two line break assists and 771 kick metres.

Gutsy Gutho: The Dragons fullback stood tall under the high ball and carried the ball back strongly with 27 runs for 226 metres. Gutho had 129 kick return metres also had two tackle breaks in a solid display.

Full-time: The Panthers take their record to 10-1 for the season on the back of a controlled victory over a gallant Dragons outfit. Despite the slippery conditions the Panthers completed 41 of 48 sets at 85 per cent and always looked to have the winless Red V at arm's length.

80 min: Luke Garner scores the final try of Magic Round as Nathan Cleary delivers the final pass for the back-rower to cross on the right edge. Cleary converts. Panthers 28-6

79 min: Setu Tu spills a bomb deep in his own territory and the Panthers get one last shot at points.

78 min: Dan Atkinson goes to the air and Dylan Edwards fumbles the ball but it goes backwards and the Panthers No.1 cleans it up.

73 min: A well weighted chip kick by Dylan Edwards has to be knocked dead by the Dragons. Line dropout.

72 min: Christian Tuipulotu is bundled into touch and loses the ball. The Dragons throw in a captain's challenge alleging a strip but the bunker supports the ref's call of knock on.

69 min: Brian To'o cruises over in the corner after slick hands from Dylan Edwards and Paul Alamoti, who delivers the final pass. Val Holmes and Christiian Tuipulotu jam in and come up with nothing as To'o gets an easy run to the line. Nathan Cleary fails to convert. Panthers 22-6

68 min: Thomas Jenkins gets the ball on the last and grubbers ahead. The Dragons clean it up but are forced back in-goal for a line dropout.

63 min: Luciano Leilua tries to play the ball too quickly and comes up with an error 40 metres out from his own line.

60 min: A superb effort by Christian Tuipulotu to get the ball down in the corner despite the efforts of three Panthers to get him over the sideline. Luciano Leilua and Val Holmes handled in the lead-up and the winger did the rest. Holmes converts from the sideline. Panthers 18-6

58 min: More high-flying antics from Thomas Jenkins who takes a bomb and gets his arm free to offload for Blaize Talagi but the five-eighth can't handle the pass.

54 min: Val Holmes looks half a chance to bust through from close range but Paul Alamoti wraps him ball-and-all in a strong tackle.

51 min: Moses Suli leaves the field with back spasms. 

50 min: Hamish Stewart brings down a high kick and passes to Setu Tu but the Panthers shut the winger down and come out of trouble.

47 min: Liam Henry puts the Panthers on the front foot with a powerful charge before they go to the left edge where Blaize Talagi puts Casey McLean into space before the centre picks up Isaiah Papalii and the back-rower races away to score. Nathan Cleary adds the extras. Panthers 18-0

45 min: Dylan Edwards puts in a kick on last tackle but it is poorly directed and the Dragons watch it roll into touch.

44 min: Christian Tuipulotu ties himself in knots trying to take a Nathan Cleary bomb and puts the ball down.

43 min: The Dragons go inside the red zone on the back of a six-again call but Moses Suli is shut down on the last tackle as the Panthers hold firm.

Dylan delivers: On the eve of Origin selection, incumbent Blues No.1 Dylan Edwards ran for 151 metres in the first half and saved a try with some great scramble defence. Edwards' fellow outside backs Thomas Jenkins (2 tries, 4 tackle breaks, 95 run metres) and Casey McLean (70 run metres, 4 tackle breaks) were also strong.

Half-time: A vastly improved performance from the Dragons who completed 20 of 24 sets at 83 per cent and restricted the Panthers to just two tries.

40 min: The Dragons look to be on the board through 250-gamer Damien Cook after he chips ahead and toes the ball into the in-goal and regathers but the bunker rules Brian To'o had his hands on the ball had possession before Cook kicked it out of his hands. The Panthers receive a penalty and will take a 12-point lead to the break.

37 min: Thomas Jenkins has another double on the back of a powerful run by Casey McLean who is dragged down five metres out. The ball is fired to Jenkins who proves too strong for Setu Tu and Dan Atkinson and gets the ball down in the corner. Nathan Cleary converts. Panthers 12-0

34 min: Josh Kerr is ruled to have played the ball incorrectly with the Dragons coming out of their own end but the Panthers waste the opportunity when Nathan Cleary goes to the boot early in the count and it's easily cleaned up.

29 min: Moses Suli goes close on the right edge but as he tries to slip an offload the ball squirts free.

27 min: Dan Atkinson takes a strong carry at the defensive line but puts the ball down in contact and the Panthers come away.

25 min: The Dragons allow a spiral bomb to bounce and it comes down to Nathan Cleary who grubbers towards the corner but the ball rolls into touch.

22 min: Setu Tu heads for the corner but Dylan Edwards comes up with a trysaver to keep the line intact.

20 min: Clint Gutherson pushes an offload but Val Holmes can't handle and the Dragons squander their opportunity.

19 min: Dan Atkinson takes on the line from close range and draws a high tackle penalty as Nathan Cleary's tackle slips up.

17 min: Another solid catch and a 20-metre run from Dylan Edwards gets the Panthers rolling but Isaiah Papalii makes an error 30 metres out.

15 min: The rain starts to fall for the first time for the day at Suncorp Stadium.

12 min: Nathan Cleary goes to the air from 25 metres out, Thomas Jenkins brings down the catch and gets to the line and puts it down despite the best efforts of Clint Gutherson to hold him up. That's 17 tries for the season for Jenkins, three clear of Alex Johnston, Greg Marzhew and Dom Young on 14. Cleary nails the conversion from touch. Panthers 6-0

8 min: The Dragons swing the ball to the left and Christian Tuipulotu is dragged down just short by three Panthers defenders. The Red V winger then advances the ball to the line but is pinged for a double movement.

7 min: A pinpoint high kick from Dan Atkinson but Dylan Edwards is rock solid in the air but the Panthers turn the ball over when Christian Tuipulotu comes up with an intercept.

4 min: Some early pressure for the Dragons as the Panthers keep the ball alive on last tackle but the defence holds firm and Setu Tu gets the Red V out of trouble with a long run.

Late Mail

Panthers: A late change for Ivan Cleary, with Izack Tago coming into the starting side in the back row and Luke Garner reverting to the interchange. Cleary is determined to ensure this week's announcement about his future is not a distraction leading into Sunday's game. Jack Cogger's return from suspension marks the only change to a winning side, with the utility to line up in jumper No.14. 

Dragons: No late changes for St George Illawarra in Sunday's 90-minute update. Hayden Buchanan replaced Tyrell Sloan in the extended bench in the 24-hour update. Kade Reed's absence due to a finger injury has seen Kyle Flanagan earn a recall, while Dan Atkinson returns from a hand injury. Loko Pasifiki Tonga is set to start in the front row, with Hamish Stewart shifting to the back row and Ryan Couchman to lock. Christian Tuipulotu and Moses Suli are both set to complete their comebacks from injury and take their place in the outside backs.

Warriors v Broncos at Suncorp Stadium

Full-time: The Warriors have secured a comprehensive 42-12 victory over the Broncos in front of more than 50,000 fans at Suncorp Stadium. The Wahs faithful turned out in force and they have loved every minute of this match. A disappointing outing ended on a tough note for Brisbane, with Va'a Semu leaving the field after receiving a head knock. The Warriors lost Tanah Boyd to a suspected ACL rupture early in the first half, but that didn't stop them. Te Maire Martin stepped in and starred in Boyd's place. Warriors 42 - Broncos 12. 

76th minute: We have a Captain's Challenge after Brisbane were ruled to have knocked the ball on in a contest for a bomb. Replays show it touched Adam Pompey's hand first and the challenge is successful. Warriors 42 - Broncos 12.

70th minute: Dallin Watene-Zelezniak has his second, intercepting a Ben Hunt pass and running 90 metres to score in the corner. The Warriors winger was tiring as Ezra Mam chased him down and the try line came just in time for Watene-Zelezniak. In positive news for Brisbane, Reece Walsh has passed his HIA and will return shortly. Warriors 42 - Broncos 12. 

64th minute: A Captain's Challenge by the Warriors after Leka Halasima was penalised for a strip. The Bunker quickly dismisses the appeal and it's a Broncos penalty. Warriors 36 - Broncos 12. 

63rd minute: We're off to the Bunker with Josiah Karapani coming agonisingly close to finishing off a spectacular try. Reece Walsh produced a cross-field kick under heavy pressure from the Warriors defence, the ball sat up for Karapani who somehow managed to stay in the field of play. The winger, however, dropped the ball as he attempted to ground it. After the play concluded, Reece Walsh left the field for an HIA. Warriors 36 - Broncos 12. 

60th minute: The Warriors have regained control and added another two-points to the tally. A pair of penalties handed them an exit out of their own end, while they took a relatively simple penalty goal with the second. Warriors 36 - Broncos 12.  

57th minute: Brisbane are hot on the attack after Ezra Mam sliced straight through. The five-eighth was dragged down by an excellent tackle but the chance was still on. A few plays later, Reece Walsh was the only chaser for a grubber into the in goal but slipped over before he could get to it. The Broncos then dropped the short line dropout and the Warriors survive. Warriors 34 - Broncos 12.

53rd minute: Adam Reynolds has a double after Phillip Coates produced a spectacular offload. The debutant had to reach high to take a Reece Walsh pass, scurried down the sideline before being tackle by the Warriors cover defence. Coates managed to flick the ball back inside, Reynolds was chasing through to collect it on the bounce and score his second of the night. Warriors 34 - Broncos 12.

48th minute: Andrew Webster's men continue to press home their advantage. Wayde Egan capitalises of retreating Broncos markers and runs from dummy half. After drawing in Reece Walsh, the hooker links up with Te Maire Martin to score under the sticks. Warriors 34 - Broncos 6.

45th minute: The Warriors have regained control after the Broncos made an error in the backfield. Reece Walsh offloaded to Gehamat Shibasaki, who spilled the ball. The ball popped up for Ali Leiataua with an open run to the line. Leiataua initially stumbled before the try line but managed to get back up and score the try. Warriors 28 - Broncos 6.

Kick-off: We're back for the second half and it's a dream start for the Broncos. Adam Reynolds left a right-side raid in their opening set of six, Brisbane broke through and the halfback eventually finished it off after chasing through in support. Any thoughts this game was over have instantly been put to bed, particularly with the Warriors reduced to 12 men for the first eight minutes of the second half. Warriors 22 - Broncos 6.

Half-time: That is time on a dramatic 40 minutes of football, with the Warriors capitalising on a mountain of possession to jump out to a 22-0 lead. The onslaught came despite the early loss of Tanah Boyd to a suspected ACL injury, with Te Maire Martin coming on to the field and starring in his place. The door is ajar ever so slightly for the Broncos, however, after Alofiana Khan-Pereira was sent to the sin bin in the 38th minute. Warriors 22 - Broncos 0.

39th minute: Another stoppage after Warriors forwards Jackson Ford and Wayde Egan attempted to tackle Ben Talty. Egan went low and collided with Talty's hip. He has been assessed and will stay on the field for now. On the next play, the Broncos attacked right and had Phil Coates unmarked but he couldn't reel in the low pass and the chance goes begging. Warriors 22 - Broncos 0.

38th minute: Momentum has finally swung back towards the Broncos, with the Warriors conceding three penalties in quick succession. The third was by Alofiana Khan-Pereira, who raced out of the line and collected Jesse Arthars high. The Warriors winger has been sent to the sin bin, with Brisbane have a chance to strike back before half-time. Warriors 22 - Broncos 0.

34th minute: The Warriors continue to capitalise on the extra man, Te Maire Martin putting a grubber in behind the Broncos defensive line. Kurt Capewell charged through and beat Phillip Coates to the ball to score the try. Warriors 22 - Broncos 0.

28th minute: It's a Warriors onslaught at Suncorp Stadium and the Wahs faithful are having a party. Hooker Wayde Egan made the most of the scrambling Broncos defence, ran from the base of the ruck, threw a dummy and sliced through the line to score. Warriors 16 - Broncos 0.

27th minute: The referee has had enough of the Broncos ill discipline and sent Pat Carrigan to the sin bin. After the previous penalty he gave Adam Reynolds a warning and Ashley Klein has followed through to reduced Brisbane to 12 men after Carrigan's ruck infringement. Warriors 10 - Broncos 0. 

26th minute: The Warriors continue to control this contest, with a pair of penalties handing the hosts another attacking set of six. The latter was against Ben Talty for making contact with Te Maire Martin's leg as he kicked the ball. The forward has been placed on report. Warriors 10 - Broncos 0.

23rd minute: Jackson Ford was denied but it didn't take long for the Warriors to capitalise. From the ensuing set of six, Erin Clark threw a dummy, got in between Jaiyden Hunt and Pat Carrigan, fended the lock away and slammed the ball down. Warriors 10 - Broncos 0. 

22nd minute: Jackson Ford is claiming a try for the Warriors after collecting a loose ball in the in-goal and grounding the ball. Phillip Coates was unable to reel in a bomb in a contest with Chanel Harris-Tavita, Ford was chasing through and appeared to get the reward for his effort. The Bunker, however, is taking a closer look at this one. He has found an escort by the Broncos but ruled Harris-Tavita knocked it on. No try, but the Warriors receive a penalty. Warriors 4 - Broncos 0. 

18th minute: The Broncos have lodged a Captain's Challenge after Ezra Mam was penalised for an escort. The Bunker rules Mam did not change his line and the challenge is successful. Seven-tackle set for the Broncos from the 20-metre line. Warriors 4 - Broncos 0.

13th minute: Given the weight of possession it was only a matter of time and the Warriors have broken through. Andrew Webster's men ran it on the last, the Broncos defence was caught short and Dallin Watene-Zelezniak dives through the air to score in the corner. In less positive news for the Warriors, early indications suggest Tanah Boyd has ruptured his ACL, with the halfback to be sent for scans. Warriors 4 - Broncos 0. 

11th minute: Another Warrior down with injury, this time it's Taine Tuaupiki whose legs buckle under the weight of a defender. It's a knee injury but he will attempt to play through the pain. Preston Riki has been penalised and placed on report for the tackle, with the Warriors to receive a fresh set of six in the attacking 20-metre zone. Warriors 0 - Broncos 0.

7th minute: Immediate concern being shown for Tanah Boyd who attempted to step past the defensive line and instantly pulled up in pain. The halfback's knee looked to have buckled as he stepped and the trainers are straight on to the field. Boyd is back on his feet and will limp from the field, with Te Maire Martin coming on to the field for his first action of the season. Warriors 0 - Broncos 0. 

6th minute: The Warriors have the first genuine chance of the afternoon after forcing a line dropout. Reece Walsh attempted a short dropout but it didn't go 10 metres and the Warriors have an attacking set of six. Warriors 0 - Broncos 0.

Kick-off: Game two of the final day of Magic Round is underway with Warriors fans cramming into Suncorp Stadium to create a rare hostile atmosphere for the Broncos in Brisbane. The Warriors are fresh after last week's bye, while the Broncos are desperate to snap a two-game losing streak. Warriors 0 - Broncos 0.

Warriors: No late changes in the final team update, Eddie Ieremia-Toeava dropping out of the squad. Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad's return from a neck injury has been delayed by another week, but the Warriors are set to welcome back centre Ali Leiataua and prop Mitchell Barnett. The co-captain's return will see Jackson Ford shift to the bench. Wayde Egan is also on track to take his place in the team after suffering a head knock a fortnight ago, with the bye allowing the hooker to recover without missing a game. 

Broncos: One change to the bench in the 24-hour update with Tom Duffy coming into the 19, with Josh Rogers dropping out. No further changes on game day, with Kane Bradley dropping out of the reserves. Halfback Adam Reynolds is on track to make his comeback from a head knock and will wear the No.7 jumper. Ben Hunt will come into the starting side if Reynolds is ruled out. Phillip Coates is set for his NRL debut in placed of injured young gun Antonio Verhoeven. Xavier Willison will shift to the front row following the loss of Jack Gosiewski, with Jaiyden Hunt coming into the back row. 

Titans v Knights at Suncorp Stadium

Full-time: The Knights have run away with this contest in the second half to claim a 36-12 victory over the Titans. Six tries after the break helped Newcastle turn a 6-6 deadlock into a 24-point win. Greg Marzhew got the Knights going with a 92-metre intercept try, Dom Young scored a hat-trick and Kalyn Ponga did his Queensland Origin chances no harm to orchestrate his side's attack. Titans 12 - Knights 36.

74th minute: Newcastle have continued their second half dominance, Dominic Young completing a scrum set play to score his third try of the afternoon. Kalyn Ponga did the work on the inside, Young had a clear run to the line to claim his hat-trick and draw level with Greg Marzhew on 14 tries for the year. Titans 12 - Knights 36.

69th minute: Newcastle have gone back-to-back, with Fletcher Sharpe slicing past Jojo Fifita for his second try of the afternoon. The centre had too much speed for his opposite and went straight through to complete the long-range effort. Titans 12 - Knights 32.

67th minute: Dane Gagai has been awarded a try after darting down the short side and catching the Titans defence napping. Kalyn Ponga played the ball on the last, Gold Coast only had one marker, Gagai took advantage to duck down a skinny short side and get the ball down. Newcastle one step closer to victory now. Titans 12 - Knights 28.

63rd minute: Newcastle have kicked clear yet again, Dom Young crossing in the right corner for his second. Centre Dane Gagai helped draw the defender and produced a superb pass for his winger, who had plenty of work to do and stepped past multiple Titans to score the try. Titans 12 - Knights 22

59th minute: We have a Captain's Challenge, with Beau Fermor arguing the ball was stripped out in the tackle. The Bunker rules Phoenix Crossland was simply making a tackle and not attempting to strip the ball and the on-field ruling of knock on stands. Knights have a scrum on halfway. Titans 12 - Broncos 18.

57th minute: The Titans have one back, Kurtis Morrin latching on to an Oliver Pascoe pass, spinning out of a tackle and crashing over from short range. The utility beat multiple Knights defenders in the process and this game is far from over. Titans 12 - Knights 18.

52nd minute: The referee has returned to the Bunker with Dom Young claiming a try after a chaotic last tackle play by the Knights. The play involved three kicks, the ball moving from the left edge all the way to the right, a Young chip and chase and an attempted grounding by the Knights winger. Replays show he maintained his hands on the ball as he grounded it and the try is awarded. Titans 6 - Knights 18.

46th minute: Knights winger Greg Marzhew has continued his remarkable try-scoring run, rushing in to take an intercept and run more than 90 metres to score the try. He now has nine tries in his past three games and just two behind Tom Jenkins in the NRL leaderboard for this year. The Titans were hot on the attack and looked destined to score but couldn't get the ball past Marzhew, who reached above his head to reel in the pass. Titans 6 - Knights 12. 

Kick-off: We are back for the second half with the Titans looking to build on a promising opening 40 minutes. Josh Hannay's men had plenty of chances but struggled to turn territory into points. Newcastle will be pleased to have drawn level before the break and are looking to kick clear in the second half. Titans 6 - Knights 6.

Half-time: That was a frenetic end to the first half with both sides making breaks in the final two minutes but remained locked up at half-time in the opening game of a Sunday triple-header. The Titans largely controlled proceedings however they struggled to convert attacking opportunities into points. Newcastle also had their chances and levelled the scores thanks to Fletcher Sharpe against the run of play. Gold Coast have also been dealt a blow, with Chris Randall failing his HIA and out for the match. Titans 6 - Knights 6. 

37th minute: Newcastle have gone on the attack now and Sandon Smith has forced a line drop out. The kick looked set to roll dead but a charging Fletcher Sharpe got there in time to knock it back and the Titans took it dead. Big chance for the Knights to hit the lead before half-time. Titans 6 - Knights 6. 

32nd minute: Gold Coast have picked up from where they were before the Fletcher Sharpe try and are back on the attack. Jojo Fifita came close to scoring and got over the line but couldn't get the ball down. Newcastle were offside, however, the Titans receiving a fresh attacking set of six. Titans 6 - Knights 6.

27th minute: Newcastle have turned defence into attack and we are all locked up. After spending the past few minutes camped on their own line, the Knights eventually regained possession. Jermaine McEwen burst through to put his side on the attack and they instantly capitalised, Fletcher Sharpe slicing through to score the try. Meanwhile, Titans forward Chris Randall has left the field for an HIA. Titans 6 - Knights 6.

26th minute: Another trip to the Bunker, with the Titans claiming the try this time. AJ Brimson chases a grubber through, Dane Gagai turns to get to the ball and grounds it just before Brimson gets his hand on the ball. Newcastle line dropout. Titans 6 - Knights 0.

22nd minute: The Knights goal-line defence is keeping them in the match, with Newcastle turning Gold Coast away multiple times in the past few minutes. Errors and poor discipline have handed the Titans attacking chances but they haven't been able to convert. Titans 6 - Knights 0.

17th minute: Titans hooker Oliver Pascoe is receiving treatment after he was dragged down from behind. Beau Fermor produced an offload for Jayden Campbell, who broke through into the back field and linked up with Pascoe. The hooker was tackled awkwardly by Jacob Saifiti and has received some treatment but is back on his feet and will walk it off. Ominous signs from the Titans, who are playing free with ball in hand. Titans 6 - Knights 0.

13th minute: Dom Young has regathered a short kick to deny the Titans another attacking chance. Kalyn Ponga misjudged a Jayden Campbell bomb, Dom Young and Dane Gagai let it bounce, Ponga had to race back into the in-goal but was promptly tackled by the Titans chasers. Titans 6 - Knights 0. 

9th minute: We're off to the Bunker for what would be a spectacular try if awarded. A Dane Gagai grubber in the in goal looked to be heading dead, Mat Croker and Sandon Smith both raced through to tap it back, with the two Knights getting a hand to the ball. Croker is ruled to have tapped it back but the ball eventually rolled forward on to the dead ball line before bouncing back to Dylan Lucas. Gold Coast survive and receive a 20m tap. Titans 6 - Knights 0.

3rd minute: It's a dream start for the Titans, who score inside the first three minutes. A miscommunication from the Knights back three saw Gold Coast regather a bomb and earn a fresh set of six on attacking territory. Cooper Bai skittled the Newcastle defensive line, Oliver Pascoe took advantage of a quick play the ball and slammed the ball down. Titans 6 - Knights 0.

Kick-off: We are underway on the final day of Magic Rounds with the in-form Knights taking on the Titans. Gold Coast are wearing a teal jersey inspired by the old Chargers design and they are looking to put on a show for the fans at Suncorp Stadium. Newcastle were forced into a late change after Bradman Best went down with a calf injury, with Sandon Smith into the halves and Fletcher Sharpe shifting to centre. Titans 0 - Knights 0.

Titans: The Titans are 1-19 with no late changes. Josh Hannay sticks with the same starting side that pushed the Roosters all the way last weekend. Zane Harrison will play his second game in the No.7 jersey while Cooper Bai has one last chance to force his way into the Queensland Origin team.
