One New Zealand Warriors centre Roger Tuivasa-Sheck has been sidelined with a shoulder injury he picked up in Saturday’s win over Parramatta in Sydney.
The AC joint injury happened late in the contest but he played on, finishing the game as well as scoring a try four minutes from fulltime.
Tuivasa-Sheck’s return to play time frame is yet to be confirmed.
Joining him on the injury list this week are hooker Wayde Egan (concussion) and winger Haizyn Mellars (hamstring). Egan will be available for the Warriors’ round 11 Magic Round encounter with Brisbane on May 17 while New South Wales Cup regular Mellars is tagged to return in round 13 or 14.
Rocco Berry, the only other player still sidelined, is in line to make his comeback from his shoulder injury in round 11 or 12.
Seven players have been cleared to return after the bye round this weekend.
Mitchell Barnett, Morgan Gannon, Ali Leiataua and Marata Niukore have all completed concussion protocols, Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad has recovered from a neck injury and Tanner Stowers-Smith will be back as well. Stowers-Smith was selected to return from a hamstring injury for the match against the Eels last weekend but was subsequently ruled out.
Set to debut for the club after the bye is former Newcastle half Jye Linnane who will make his long-awaited return from knee surgery.
