Rugby league, players and fans come together as one to honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice ahead of the encounter between the One New Zealand Warriors and the Dolphins at Hnry Stadium on Saturday night.
After Anzac Round games in Auckland and Christchurch in the previous two seasons, a capacity crowd of more than 34,000 – the biggest for an Anzac match in New Zealand – will pause for a tribute in what will be an emotional experience for all involved.
Since 2009 the One New Zealand Warriors have stood alongside players from Melbourne, Gold Coast and Newcastle in pre-game ceremonies to commemorate a day which binds two nations together.
At 7.52pm on Saturday, the Warriors and Dolphins will walk out together for the first Anzac Round ceremony involving the two clubs.
