Maxigesic Recovery Report: Barnett back on injured list

Just two games into his comeback One New Zealand Warriors co-captain Mitchell Barnett finds himself back on the injured list after breaking his right thumb in last Friday night’s loss to the Wests Tigers at Go Media Stadium.

He has had surgery but it’s yet to be determined when he is likely to be on the field again.

Playmaker Luke Metcalf made a successful comeback from his knee injury when he got through the match against the Tigers.

Off the injured list this week is second rower Morgan Gannon who has been cleared after following concussion protocols last week.

Second rower Kurt Capewell remains sidelined with the calf injury he picked up in warm-up before the match against the Raiders. He’s expected to be available again next week.
