First it was co-captain Mitchell Barnett last week and now halfback Luke Metcalf has been cleared from the One New Zealand Warriors’ injury list.
Like Barnett, Metcalf suffered an ACL injury last season, his campaign ending 67 minutes into the round 17 clash against the Broncos in Brisbane last June.
His return to play date was brought forward to round six last week but such has been his progress he has now been given the all-clear heading into round four.
Also coming off the list are fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad and standoff Chanel Harris-Tavita who both had last week off as they adhered to NRL concussion protocols after being forced off the field with head knocks in the Canberra clash in round two.
Second rower Morgan Gannon (concussion) is ruled out this week after leaving the field just minutes into his debut as Warrior #296 last Saturday.
Second rower Kurt Capewell remains sidelined with the calf injury he picked up in warm-up before the match against the Raiders.
