Match Preview: First road trip facing unbeaten Knights

Two of the competition's undefeated teams go head-to-head but injury has robbed both the Knights and the One New Zealand Warriors of key playing personnel.

Newcastle fullback and captain Kalyn Ponga is set to miss 6-8 weeks with a hamstring injury, star half Dylan Brown faces a month on he sideline with a MCL strain and late in the week Fletcher Sharpe's comeback was put on hold.

The side overcame the loss of Ponga and Brown last week to defeat the Sea Eagles and coach Justin Holbrook will be hoping his side can summon that same resolve in the club's first home game of the season against the Warriors.

With strong performances from some of their unheralded players like halfback Tanah Boyd and prop Jackson Ford - who is leading the Dally M tally - to lead them, the Warriors can move back to second with success today.

Last week they defied the odds following the loss pre-game of Kurt Capewell and Chanel Harris-Tavita early in the match to put on a clinic against the Raiders.

In their first journey away from home this season, Andrew Webster's men will be aiming to channel the momentum from their first two performances.
