New Zealand Custom Mouthguards (NZCM) is the latest company to join the One New Zealand Warriors’ sponsorship family after signing a two-year deal as the club’s official mouthguard supplier.
The partnership will see NZCM catering for players across the Warriors’ six teams in the NRL, NRLW, New South Wales Cup, Jersey Flegg Cup, SG Ball Cup and Harold Matthews Cup.
NZCM was co-founded by Drury-based dentist Dr Reuben Katene and experienced One New Zealand Warriors winger Dallin Watene-Zelezniak.
Together with qualified dental technician Agil Samarasan, the team “is dedicated to lifting the standard of player safety across Aotearoa”.

NZCM specialises in high-quality, custom-fitted mouthguards designed for comfort, performance and medical-grade protection. With experience across both dentistry and professional sport, the team brings a unique understanding of what athletes need to stay safe on the field.
“Our mission is simple: Normalise a higher standard of safety in New Zealand sport by providing reliable protection and empowering athletes with education around dental trauma and concussion prevention,” said Dr Katene.
Ha added one of NZCM’s core aims is to make custom mouthguards more affordable and accessible for clubs, schools and communities throughout New Zealand ensuring every athlete, at every level, can access proper protection.
