One New Zealand Warriors halfback Luke Metcalf’s return to play date is now expected in either round seven or eight of the NRL season.
It had been estimated he wouldn’t be available to make his comeback until round eight to 10 but he is now in full team training as he recovers from his knee surgery.
New signing Jye Linnane (knee) is on target to return in round four while second rower Marata Niukore (calf) has come off the injury list this week to be available for the Warriors' round two NRL clash against the Canberra Raiders on Friday night.
There's no change in the status of Mitchell Barnett, Rocco Berry or Te Maire Martin.
