SGB Team List: Much-changed side to face Bulldogs

Promotion to the Jersey Flegg Cup side and injuries have forced several lineup changes for the One New Zealand Warriors’ fifth-round SG Ball Cup (under-19) encounter with Canterbury Bankstown at Belmore Sports Ground today (2.00pm kick-off NZT).

Captain Gordon Afoa, Dezman Laban, Tyson Hanson  and Micah Sula will all play for the Jersey Flegg under-21 side in its round one clash against the Roosters in Pukekohe.

On top of that the Warriors’ under-19 lineup named on Tuesday is also missing second rower Bishop Neal, winger Ezekiel Davidson-Faaiuaso, captain Rico Lemalie and centre Mark Sikuvea.

The absences open up opportunities for several other players as the Warriors, coming off their first win of the season, take on the Bulldogs, also with a 1-3 record in their first three games.

Among those brought in are hooker Dreytin Marriott, winger Jacksyn Hill and centre Parekaahu Keepa who were all in the club’s premiership-winning Harold Matthews Cup side last year.

After three home games, this is the first of three consecutive away games for the Warriors.
