Snap Rentals firms up partnership by further two years

Up and coming car hire company Snap Rentals has extended its partnership with the One New Zealand Warriors for another two years.

Since joining the club’s sponsorship family at the start of the 2024 NRL season, Snap has been a “loud and proud partner” with its “Firmly on the Bandwagon” messaging around Go Media Stadium and beyond.

“The fanbase’s passion is unrivalled, and it’s both valuable and fun connecting our brand with them through this partnership,” said Snap CEO Dan Nemeschansky.

For their part, the Warriors value the pioneering spirit Snap brings to its business.

“We’ve loved having Snap on board over the last two years and we’re excited about building on our relationship for the next two seasons,” said One New Zealand Warriors COO commercial and marketing Glenn Harris.

“They bring a strong sense of local identity to the market and a keenness to strengthen their brand.”

Started by a couple of Kiwi mates in Christchurch, Snap has grown from a one-car start-up venture into a business which now boasts more than 1500 rental vehicles across the country.

Snap’s core focus is on shaking up the car rental industry by ‘stripping out all the fluff and faff’ that typically comes with car hire. Its “Simply Better” mantra clearly resonates, with Snap taking home the Canstar award for best car hire company in 2025.

Now owned and backed by Japan-based D&D Holdings, Snap continues to be run by its New Zealand-based team.

“We want to reiterate that while we’re under new ownership, we are still the same New Zealand-based company with the same values, vision and team behind us, only now with more resources to deliver – and that’s what really matters,” said Nemeschansky.

As well as Wellington, Snap’s other locations are in Central Auckland, Auckland Airport, Christchurch, Nelson and Queenstown.

The agreement with the One New Zealand Warriors gives Snap tickets, signage, player appearances and digital advertising with a key focus on offers for fans.

Snap also supports New Zealand sport through its multi-year partnership with A League football club Auckland FC.
