Napier's McLean Park to host trial against Sea Eagles

Napier’s McLean Park will host the One New Zealand Warriors’ first Pre-season Challenge clash against the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles on Saturday, February 14 next year (3.40pm kick-off).

It's the only pre-season match the club will play on home soil.

In their second hit-out they'll take on the Dolphins, not in Queensland but at Sydney’s Leichhardt Oval on Friday, February 20 (6.00pm kick-off local time; 8.00pm NZT).

It will be the first match of a doubleheader followed by the Wests Tigers facing the Penrith Panthers (8.00pm kick-off local time; 10.00pm NZT).

The Warriors’ return to Hawke’s Bay comes three years after their historic first NRL match there against the Broncos in 2023.

"We're really looking forward to heading back to the sunny Hawke's Bay," said One New Zealand Warriors CEO Cameron George.

"It's so important for us to take the Warriors to different regions of the country to give us the chance to engage with the community. Going to Hawke's Bay provides a tremendous opportunity for fans there and we know we have plenty of them.

"It's also home to one of our legends Tohu Harris and it will give us a great chance to reconnect with him and his family."

The February 14 match is set to provide an opportunity to give the club's new signings their debuts - back rower Morgan Gannon and wingers Alofiana Khan-Pereira and Hayzin Mellars.
