NRLW Confirmed Lineup: Facing Bulldogs as selected

The One New Zealand Warriors will line up as selected in tonight’s round six NRLW match against Canterbury Bankstown at Accor Stadium in Sydney (5.15pm kick-off local time; 7.15pm NZT).

Hooker Avery-Rose Carmont has been confirmed as the 18th player.

The three players omitted at the 24-hour deadline were middle forward Makayla Eli, winger Lavinia Tauhalaliku and utility Kalyn Takitimu-Cook.

Returning on the bench in the only change to the side that beat North Queensland last week is prop Matekino Gra (20). After playing the first four matches of the season, she missed the encounter with the Cowboys qs she followed concussion protocols.

Gray returns on the interchange for 18-year-old development player Matapo, who put in an impressive 25-minute shift in the 12-6 Magic Round win over the Cowboys.

Last updated:

With major signing Michaela Brake unavailable for personal reasons, 19-year-old Tyra Wetere has again been named on the wing after making her NRLW debut last week.

The starting forward pack is unchanged from the one used against the Cowboys while the interchange is again built around impact middle forwards in Harata Butler, Ivana Lauitiiti – a standout on debut last week – and Gray.

The Warriors shared eighth place on four points after five rounds but sit 10th on points for and against while the Bulldogs – the other new team in this year’s competition – are just one point ahead.
