Fullback-winger Taine Tuaupiki and former Sharks hooker Sam Healey have been retained in the 19-man game day squad for the One New Zealand Warriors’ round 14 NRL encounter with Cronulla Sutherland at Sharks Stadium in Sydney on Saturday (5.30pm kick-off local time; 7.30pm NZT).
Omitted from the extended bench at the 24-hour deadline are prop Tom Ale, halfback Tanah Boyd and centre Ali Leiataua.
As well as losing co-captain Mitchell Barnett with a season-ending knee injury, the third-placed One New Zealand Warriors are also without centre Rocco Berry for the battle with the fifth-placed Sharks.
Making his 49th appearance for the club, Barnett had his 2025 season cruelly ended when he ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee midway through the first half of last Sunday’s encounter with the Rabbitohs.

Berry’s unavailability again sees the fix-it man Kurt Capewell in the centres. It’s the fourth time he has been selected to start while he has also moved into the role to cover injuries, as was the case against the Rabbitohs when Berry left the field.
With Capewell in the centres, the exciting Leka Halasima is named to start in the second row with fellow back rower Jacob Laban included on the interchange along with 2025 rookie front rower Tanner Stowers-Smith, middle forward Demitric Vaimauga and utility Te Maire Martin.
The rest of backline is the same as the combination used in the 36-30 win over South Sydney when the back three of Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad, Dallin Watene-Zelezniak and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck accounted for four of the Warriors’ seven tries between them.
They combined to make a total of almost 600 metres led by Nicoll-Klokstad who posted 339 metres from 28 runs, 97 post-contact metres, a try, a line break and eight tackle breaks plus try-saving deeds on defence.
