One New Zealand Warriors halfback Luke Metcalf retains top spot as voting for the Dally M player of the year honour goes behind closed doors.
Metcalf was awarded one point for his display in last night’s 10-16 loss to the Canberra Raiders, taking his total to 31, two clear of Cronulla Sutherland fullback Will Kennedy.
Sydney Roosters fullback James Tedesco is third on 28.
Last night Metcalf challenged the line consistently but couldn’t find a way through the Raiders’ near-impregnable defensive live. From 10 runs he made 81 metres while he finished 19 tackles and 316 metres from nine kicks in a contest dominated by defence. He also kicked three goals from three attempts.

Loose forward Erin Clark was again impressive claiming three Dally M points with the remaining eight shared between Canberra's Joseph Tapine, Jamal Fogarty and Sebastian Kris.
Clark has now moved up to 16 points on the ladder, the second-best ranked Warrior. Last night he made 147 metres from 16 runs and 37 tackles without a miss.
