One New Zealand Warriors halfback Luke Metcalf has rocketed to the top of the Dally M standings with his fourth maximum six-point haul of the season.

He is now in outright first place with 30 points - one ahead of Sharks fullback Will Kennedy - after his influential role in the Warriors’ 16-12 win over the Dolphins at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday.

Metcalf also collected six points for his performances in the wins against Manly Warringah, Newcastle and North Queensland.

He managed the contest against the Dolphins impressively highlighted by the superb try he created for centre Kurt Capewell, a strong kicking game and solid defence as well as converting two of the Warriors’ three tries.
