One New Zealand Warriors centre Ali Leiataua has joined the club's NRL injury list, sidelined with an ankle injury which ruled him out of today's Magic Round clash against the Cowboys in Brisbane.

The 22-year-old was set for his eighth appearance of the season and his 15th in total following the the Anzac Day win over Newcastle.

However, the ankle injury picked up in training on Thursday has sidelined him with his return date yet to be confirmed.

Also out this week is second rower Jacob Laban who is following NRL concussion protocols.

Playing his second game of the season, the 21-year-old suffered a head knock during his 37-minute stint off the bench in the 26-12 Anzac Day win over the Knights in Christchurch.

Three veterans remain on the list of injured players.

Co-captain James Fisher-Harris (pectoral) and winger Dallin Watene-Zelezniak (wrist) are expected to return in round 10-12 while Roger Tuivasa-Sheck (hamstring) is set to make his comeback in round 11.
