GWM Game Day: Friday night lights turned on again

Another footy fun fest in front of a monster crowd is locked in for the One New Zealand Warriors’ second edition of a Friday night lights game day at Go Media Stadium this week (match day sponsor: NZME).

It follows a memorable night last week featuring superb wins for the Warriors’ NRL and New South Wales Cup sides, farewelling club legend Tohu Harris and loads of game day entertainment including a fireworks show.

Football will have a double focus again this Friday night as the Warriors host the Roosters in the third round of both the NSW Cup (5.15pm kick-off) and the NRL (8.00pm kick-off)

The second-round NRL battle against the Sydney Roosters promises to be a classic after the Warriors and the Roosters stormed to stunning wins last week, the Warriors impressive in their 36-16 victory over the Sea Eagles and the Roosters shocking Penrith 38-32.

Following the NSW Cup match, it will Persil Junior Footy (6.55pm), time for kids to have some fun.

Then at halftime in the NRL contest (8.45pm), stay in your seats as match day sponsor Flava presents ‘Catch Charlie if you can’ and a must-see live performance by IDCO, Auckland-based Identity Dance Company.

Another feature of the night will be the all-new Speight’s Clubrooms offering best-seats-in-the-house right behind the goal posts at the northern end of the ground.

And, as always, there’ll be fun, activities and ample food and refreshment offerings around the stadium, especially in the GWM Fan Zone just beneath the big screen.

Ticketing & Entry

e-tickets are a great way to share your membership with friends or family members to use.

At any stage you can access your tickets for Go Media Stadium home games through your membership account under the 'My 2025 Seats/Events' tab.

If you prefer to use e-tickets to access the stadium on game day, you can do so by downloading them through your membership account or saving them to your Apple Wallet or Samsung/Google Wallet for presentation at the gate.

Note that all members will have received an electronic membership card when purchasing your 2025 membership. In the event that you have ordered a physical card and it has not yet arrived, your e-card can be used for entry.

During the off-season, Go Media Stadium has installed new ticket scanning turnstiles at all entry gates. Just have your e-ticket or e-card ready before you arrive at the gate, then either scan your e-ticket barcode at the bottom of the turnstile or tap your digital wallet on the top and you're in.

We also encourage all guests to familiarise themselves with the conditions of entry for Go Media Stadium and items which can be brought into the ground and those which are restricted.

Accessibility

There are no general parking facilities onsite, and instead we encourage patrons to utilise public transport to travel to and from the match.

If public transport is not an option, some parking may be available on the streets surrounding the stadium but please note that parking on private property is at your own risk.

Please be aware that some streets are subject to road closures or parking restrictions from late Friday afternoon.

Go Media Stadium has also upgraded accessibility options with bookable mobility parking, making it easier for fans who need it to secure a spot in advance. To reserve a space, simply check the Warriors match day event page on our website for a guide, or email us directly at info@aucklandstadiums.co.nz before the match day.

Please note that bookable spaces onsite are limited and that non-reserved spaces will still be available on a first-come, first-served basis on Beasley Ave. on match days for patrons with a mobility permit.
