As we kick off the New Zealand Warriors' 30-year celebrations in season 2025, NRL.com are asking fans to help us put together the club's best team from their opening three decades!
While premiership success as a team has eluded them to date, the Wahs have unearthed and attracted some of the biggest stars in the game over the years, which sets the scene for some agonising calls at the selection table.
It’s likely no decision will be quite as divisive as that at No.7, with punters facing the unenviable choice between two club legends.
Stacey Jones – the original favourite son and halfback in their first grand final – was the shining light of the opening decade and a bit, before Shaun Johnson emerged to eventually take over most of the Little General's records and leave behind an unmatched dossier of game-winning plays.
There’s only ever been one player to claim the Dally M Medal as a Warrior, but whether that’s enough to lift Roger Tuivasa-Sheck past former cross-code superstar and goalkicking ace Matthew Ridge at fullback remains to be seen.
On the wings do you go with the sheer power of the club's all-time record try-scorer Manu Vatuvei and early 2000s wrecking ball Francis Meli? Or how about current day scoring freak Dallin Watene-Zelezniak along with David Fusitu’a, who got over for an impressive 61 tries in 108 appearances for the club?
Ruben Wiki - Hall of Fame
Up front the Warriors have really been spoiled for choice over the years, with names like Steve Price, Ruben Wiki, Ben Matulino, Jacob Lillyman and the recently departed Addin Fonua-Blake, just a few of the star-studded props who have called Go Media Stadium home.
Not to mention other forwards like the magical Ali Lauitiiti, relentless Simon Mannering and tough-as-teak Aussie import Kevin Campion.
As you can see, there's some massive calls to be made to decide who deserves to sit among the best of the best to have represented the Warriors to date.
Vote for your favourite player for each position in the ballot below and the FOUR highest polling players in each position will then make it through to the final round of voting on the NRL's in app stories feature in the coming weeks.
So take a trip down memory lane and get involved today!
