
A total of 28 of the One New Zealand Warriors’ current 29 top 30 NRL players have been named in the club’s first-grade and New South Wales Cup sides to face Manly-Warringah at Go Media Stadium on Friday night.
The only player out of contention is winger Dallin Watene-Zelezniak who is sidelined long-term after surgery on his wrist injury.
In all 21 top 30 players have been selected in the NRL squad along with second rower Eddie Ieremia-Toevava, who’s on a fulltime development contract.
Five of those players are also named in the NSW Cup lineup with Edward Kosi on the wing, Te Maire Martin at standoff, Sam Healey at hooker, Bunty Afoa in the front row and Ieremia-Toeava in the second row.
The reserve grade combination also includes seven other top 30 players – centre Rocco Berry, winger Morgan Harper, halfback Tanner Boyd, prop Tom Ale, second rower Jacob Laban and interchange hooker Freddy Lussick and front rower Tanner Stowers-Smith.

The New South Wales Cup team kicks off the football action at 5.15pm on Friday coming off a hard-earned 18-16 win over Canberra while the Sea Eagles also had a two-point result but fell 20-22 to South Sydney.
The Warriors have named the same 17 used against the Raiders.

For the recently-signed Harper there’ll be a lot of familiar faces in Manly’s lineup from his time with the Sea Eagles.
The 26-year-old Hamilton-born centre-winger through his Warriors debut well making 158 metres from 17 runs.
The match also marked a successful return from a long injury lay-off for centre Rocco Berry who came through the first half well before being taken off.
