Veteran front rower James Gavet, fullback Taine Tuaupiki and young back rower Leka Halasima return to boost the One New Zealand Warriors for their 18th-round New South Wales Cup match against the South Sydney Rabbitohs at Go Media Stadium Mt Smart tomorrow (5.30pm kick-off).

Former NRL prop Gavet has missed the last three matches against Canberra, Newtown and St George Illawarra but is back on the interchange this week.

Tuaupiki and Halasima return after missing last Saturday’s loss to the Dragons.

When the Warriors and the Rabbitohs met in Sydney earlier this month, Souths held off the fast-finishing visitors to win 24-22.

They now sit fifth on the ladder on 20 points, one ahead of the Warriors, who have endured a challenging run over the last two months.

Since beating the Sydney Roosters at Go Media Stadium on April 30, have had five of their last seven games on the road and just two at home. They’ve picked up only three points from a win over the Raiders and a draw with the Bulldogs.
