Shaun Johnson has moved into the top six on Dally M leaderboard after his performance in the One New Zealand Warriors’ 24-12 win over Canterbury Bankstown.
He was awarded three points to move to 22, eight points behind table topping Brisbane prop Payne Haas.
Johnson impressed with a pinpoint kicking game delivering tries for Josh Curran and Dallin Watene-Zelezniak while his general kicking kept the pressure on the Bulldogs all night. He forced two goal-line drop outs and kicked 24 times for 771 metres while also converting all four of the team’s tries.
Defensively Johnson made 20 tackles and was consistently impressive with his kick-chase.
While he was awarded three points, front rower Addin Fonua-Blake picked up the most points - four - for another outstanding display while Tohu Harris collected three points and Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad two.
Nicoll-Klokstad now has 16 points placing him 16th equal while Fonua-Blake has 11 and Harris 10.
