Fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad and halfback Shaun Johnson were both awarded Dally M points after the One New Zealand Warriors’ brave loss in Saturday’s bruising Magic Round battle against Penrith.

The Panthers needed a late try to win 18-6 against a Warriors side which played 20 minutes of the match with only 12 men after Jackson Ford and Demitric Sifakula were sent to the sin bin.

Nicoll-Klokstad, back in the side after missing the match against the Roosters, was typically to the fore carrying the ball a team-high 25 times for 191 metres while Johnson had a hand in the Warriors’ only try, made two line breaks, carved off 841 metres from a game-high 25 kicks and was consistently leading the kick chase.

Both players were awarded two points each lifting Johnson’s tally to 19 for a share of eighth place on the table.
