Regulars missing for New South Wales Cup side

The high-flying One New Zealand Warriors will be without some of their regulars for tomorrow’s ninth-round New South Wales Cup clash against the Sydney Roosters at Mount Smart Stadium (4.00pm kick-off).

Fullback Taine Tuaupiki was named in both the NSW Cup and NRL sides earlier in the week but is now unavailable due to injury.

Also out is centre Viliami Vailea who was today called into the NRL side after Tuaupiki was ruled out while still in the NRL game day 19 are back rowers Kalani Going and Demitric Sifakula plus centre Ali Leiataua.

Halfback Ronald Volkman and prop Zyon Maiu’u have been released from the extended NRL squad enabling them to line up in the NSW Cup.

Another player missing tomorrow will be former NRL front rower James Gavet, who has been suspended.

The One New Zealand Warriors started the round leading the competition but slipped back to second following North Sydney’s 29-28 win over Newtown today.

They’ll return to top spot if they beat the Roosters tomorrow.

Named to play in the halves again for the Roosters tomorrow is last year’s NRL rookie of the year Sam Walker.
