One New Zealand Warriors set for SG Ball season finale

The One New Zealand Warriors round out their return to the SG Ball Cup with their final match against the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles at Navigation Homes Stadium in Pukekohe (12.00pm kick-off).

It’s a match which was postponed in February as Cyclone Gabrielle was about to hit the Auckland region.

The contest will have no bearing on the make-up of the SG Ball playoffs starting next week but it’s a chance for the home side to finish its campaign positively after a challenging run of games in the last five rounds.

The young Warriors began their campaign brightly with wins over South Sydney, Melbourne and St George Illawarra but then battled in a series of matchups against sides in the finals mix.

They go into their season finale sitting in 11th spot on six points looking for their second home win.

The Sea Eagles are 15th having won just once so far.
