Tough task facing One New Zealand Warriors in SG Ball

After tough assignments against Newcastle and the Sydney Roosters, another major challenge awaits the One New Zealand Warriors when they take on defending premier Penrith in their seventh-round SG Ball Cup match on Sunday.

Playing at St Marys Leagues Stadium (11.00am kick-off local time), the visitors will face a Panthers side sitting second on the ladder after one loss so far this season.

While Penrith is coming off a 40-22 win over South Sydney, the One New Zealand Warriors have had heavy losses to the Knights and the Roosters in their last two starts after opening their campaign with three wins.

With winger Sio Kali out injured, Te Hataterehapaerau Reid, who had a stint with Wynnum-Manly in Brisbane, has been brought in to make his debut.

Named on the interchange for his first appearance is hooker Makaia Tafua, a Linwood Keas product out of Christchurch.
