Super League grand final joy for ex-Warriors duo

Former Vodafone Warriors Konrad Hurrell and Agnatius Paasi have helped St Helens to a fourth straight Super League grand final victory with a 24-12 win over the Leeds Rhinos at Old Trafford in Manchester.

Hurrell was the second of Saints’ four try scorers as they built on a 12-6 halftime lead in front of a crowd of more than 60,000.

A third ex-Warrior James Bell was in the extended squad named for the grand final but wasn’t included in the game day 17.

Former Vodafone Warriors second rower Bodene Thompson was on the interchange bench for the Rhinos while ex-Kiwi prop Zane Tetevano was in the starting line-up.
