Confirmed line-up: Pene starts, Fonua-Blake to bench

Aaron Pene will start at prop with Addin Fonua-Blake coming off the bench in the Vodafone Warriors' Mount Smart Stadium homecoming match today.

Fonua-Blake was named to start earlier in the week but hasn't trained with the team all week after failing a Covid test last weekend.

After returning negative tests yesterday and again today he has been cleared to play.

In another change re-signed hooker Freddy Lussick comes onto the interchange joining Fonua-Blake, 100-game milestone man Bunty Afoa and back rower Bayley Sironen.

Other changes were confirmed yesterday with Chanel Harris-Tavita starting at fullback for the unavailable Reece Walsh (isolating with Covid) and Euan Aitken switched to the second row for the injured Jack Murchie. That has resulted in Adam Pompey returning to the centres.

Eliesa Katoa is 18th man while Rocco Berry is the 19th player.

As well as Walsh and Murchie, Daejarn Asi was the other player omitted from the 22-man squad named on Tuesday.
