Injury report: Fonua-Blake making good progress in recovery

Vodafone Warriors prop Addin Fonua-Blake is making good pro

Vodafone Warriors prop Addin Fonua-Blake is making good progress as he recovers from his foot injury.

It was initially feared the 26-year-old would be out for an extended period after picking up the injury in the club’s 11th-round loss to St George Illawarra on May 21.

However, scans and further assessment confirmed he hadn’t suffered a serious Lisfranc injury leaving him in line to return within a month.

Sidelined for the last three matches against the Knights, the Sea Eagles and the Sharks, Fonua-Blake may be able to integrate into team training next week.

Young centre Viliami Vailea won’t be available again until the 18th-round match against Parramatta on July 15.

Vailea has had surgery on his jaw after breaking it just before halftime in the 12th-round encounter with the Knights.
