Injury report: Egan, Sironen and Curran close to returning

Three key players are on track to be available for the Vodafone Warriors’ next two matches against Manly Warringah (June 4) and Cronulla Sutherland (June 12).

Back rowers Josh Curran (knee) and Bayley Sironen (osteitis pubis) and hooker Wayde Egan (calf) are all set to come off the injury list.

Curran is in line to make his comeback against the Sharks on June 12. He has been sidelined with an MCL strain after being forced off the field early in the second half of the Anzac Day loss to the Melbourne Storm.

He has missed the matches against Canberra, Cronulla Sutherland, South Sydney, St George Illawarra and today’s encounter with Newcastle.

Egan and Sironen have both been out of contention for the last three matches.

Meanwhile, prop Addin Fonua-Blake’s foot injury isn’t as serious as initially feared.

He has a minor Lisfranc sprain with an estimated return to play of four weeks which puts him on track for the June 18 home game against Penrith.
