Our State of Origin roll of honour climbs to seven

Reece Walsh has become the seventh player – and the first in four years – selected for State of Origin duty out of the Vodafone Warriors.

The last before Walsh was 188-game Vodafone Warrior Jacob Lillyman, who made the last of his 14 Origin appearances in game one of the 2017 series.

Lillyman arrived at the club in 2009 boasting four Origin outings, going on to be involved in 10 matches across five campaigns (2011, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017) during his nine seasons with the Vodafone Warriors.

Making the most Origin appearances in his time with the Vodafone Warriors was ex-captain Steve Price with 12 across five series after 16 when he was with the Bulldogs.

The celebrated Kevin Campion was the first Vodafone Warrior selected for Origin when he turned out for the Maroons in 2001 while Ryan Hoffman is the only player selected to represent New South Wales (in all three matches in 2015).
