Vodafone Warriors hold back on Indigenous jersey

While the NRL is staging its annual Indigenous Round this week, the Vodafone Warriors will hold back on airing their special strip.

Due to a jersey design clash, the Vodafone Warriors will be kitted out in their alternate white strip for their encounter with the Cowboys in Townsville on Friday night (6.00pm kick-off local time; 8.00pm NZT).

The club’s stunning Canterbury of New Zealand-designed Indigenous Round jersey will now be worn in the Michael Moore Trophy contest against the Storm in Gosford on June 13.

It will add another layer to the day’s flavour when the Vodafone Warriors celebrate all-things Kiwi with The Great Big Kiwi Coast Party.

Headlining the build-up to the battle between the two traditional rivals will be legendary Kiwi rock band Dragon, who will be on stage for a hits-laden one-hour show from 12.00pm.
