Knights: A late change an hour before kick-off with Hymel Hunt back from a hamstring injury on the wing in jersey 18. Brayden Musgrove drops out. Josh King is 18th man.

Kalyn Ponga will not suit up for Magic Round after being ruled out with a hip injury.

Newcastle coach Adam O'Brien confirmed on Thursday that the Queensland representative would be sidelined with Tex Hoy coming into the side at fullback for the trip to Brisbane.

Simi Sasagi was the other player to drop out of the squad on Thursday.

Edrick Lee (foot) is still waiting to make his return from injury. 

Back-rower Mitch Barnett will make his 100th NRL appearance.

Sea Eagles: Martin Taupau makes his return from a head knock via the interchange bench with Sean Keppie promoted to the starting side an hour before kick-off.

Prop Taniela Paseka will play after copping a couple of head knocks in the win over the Warriors and getting through HIA protocols.

Christian Tuipulotu and Ben Trbojevic were the first to drop out of the squad 24 hours out from game time. Tevita Funa was the last man omitted on game day and Zac Saddler is 18th man.

Back-rower Curtis Sironen (knee) must wait at least another week to make his comeback from injury. 

Since Tom Trbojevic’s return the Sea Eagles have increased their points scored per game from 9.4 to 32.5.

Broncos: The Broncos are 1-17 with David Mead the last man omitted and Keenan Palasia 18th man.

Thomas Flegler steps into the No.13 role after Patrick Carrigan's season was ended by an ACL injury with John Asiata moving up to take Flegler's spot on the interchange. 

With Carrigan out, Brisbane also needed a new captain and hooker Jake Turpin has been handed the armband ahead of more experienced options such as Anthony Milford, Payne Haas, Matthew Lodge and Tevita Pangai jnr.

Tesi Niu and aspiring NRL debutant Brendan Piakura were the first two players cut 24 hours before kick-off.

Winger Corey Oates has scored eight tries in his past six games against the Sea Eagles.

Bulldogs: Front-rower Dylan Napa, who was hoping to return from a shoulder injury, was replaced on Friday in the starting side by Ava Seumanufagai with Joe Stimson elevated to the interchange. 

Kyle Flanagan was omitted 24 hours out from kick-off after he was dropped at half-time of the loss to St George Illawarra with Jake Averillo inheriting the No.7 and Brandon Wakeham coming into five-eighth.

Nick Meaney moves into the centres in place of Corey Allan, who is expected to miss 1-3 weeks with an AC joint injury, and Tui Katoa has been named on the wing.

Corey Waddell claims the last bench spot, with Joe Stimson 18th man and Ofahiki Ogden omitted from the side an hour before kick-off.

The Bulldogs have lost their past seven games at Suncorp Stadium.

Raiders: Dunamis Lui starts at lock in place of Ryan Sutton (elbow) with Hudson Young reverting to the bench. 

In-form winger Jordan Rapana is out with a hamstring injury, replaced by Semi Valemei.

Former co-captain Josh Hodgson returns from a calf injury on the bench alongside Dunamis Lui and Ryan James with Joseph Tapine (MCL) out and Siliva Havili dropping to the reserves.

Matthew Timoko is 18th man with Sam Williams dropping out of the squad on game day. Siliva Havili and Harry Rushton were cut from the squad when it was reduced to 19 on Friday.

Veteran centre Jarrod Croker must wait at least until round 11 while fullback Charnze Nicholl-Klokstad (neck) is 6-7 weeks away despite having avoided surgery.

The Raiders have been outscored 93-8 in their past five second halves.

Sharks: Matt Moylan has replaced star playmaker Shaun Johnson, who didn’t travel with the team to Queensland after suffering a minor hamstring injury at training on Tuesday, at five-eighth.

Johnson will have to wait at least another week to bring up his milestone 200th NRL game. Cronulla are confident the playmaker will only miss 1-2 weeks.

Braydon Trindall takes Moylan's place on the interchange with Jenson Taumoepeau the other omission 24 hours before kickoff.

Billy Magoulias is 18th man with Franklin Pele dropping out of the squad on game day. 

Josh Dugan gets the call-up to replace centre Jesse Ramien who will miss 4-6 weeks after scans confirmed a fractured eye socket caused by an accidental elbow to the face in the clash with Penrith.

The other big inclusion for Cronulla is Andrew Fifita, the veteran prop returning from a NSW Cup suspension to play his first top-grade game of 2021 from the interchange bench with versatile back-rower Bill Magoulias dropping back to the reserves.

Ronaldo Mulitalo (knee), Sione Katoa (knee) and Jackson Ferris (foot) are all at least another week away from being available for selection. 

The Sharks have won their past four games in Queensland.

Rabbitohs: In a huge boost halfback Adam Reynolds (thumb) has returned ahead of schedule, reclaiming the No.7 jersey which shifts Benji Marshall back to five-eighth and sends rookie playmaker Dean Hawkins out of the side.

Taane Milne has been brought in on the wing which allows Dane Gagai to return to the centres.

There has also been movement in the forwards with Liam Knight moving from the interchange to lock in a swap with Jai Arrow while Hame Sele takes Patrick Mago's place on the bench.

Patrick Mago is the 18th man with Hawkins dropping off the reserves on game day after Troy Dargan and Steven Marsters were omitted 24 hours before kick-off.

Veteran winger Josh Mansour (hamstring) and gun No.1 Latrell Mitchell (suspension) are due back in round 11.

The Rabbitohs have won 16 of their past 20 games when Reynolds has played.

Lachlan Lam returns at five-eighth for Drew Hutchison (ribs) and Sitili Tupouniua is back from suspension in the back row, pushing Nat Butcher to the interchange and Tuku Hau Tapuha to reserves.

Jason Taumalolo will become the eighth player to appear in 200 NRL games for the Cowboys.

Eels: Coach Brad Arthur has named his son Jakob to make his NRL debut at five-eighth for the suspended Dylan Brown. Waqa Blake (calf) makes a timely return at centre for the suspended Marata Niukore.

Hooker Reed Mahoney (HIA) and lock Nathan Brown (hip) have both been named with Shaun Lane reverting to the bench. Ray Stone replaces Haze Dunster on the bench. 

Jakob Arthur and Stone are available to play after observing strict level 3 protocols and passing COVID-19 tests, having joined the squad from outside the NRL bubble.

Keegan Hipgrave is the 18th man with Haze Dunster dropping out of the playing squad on game day. Joey Lussick and Jordan Rankin dropped off the extended bench 24 hours before kick-off.

Parramatta have scored 144 points in their past four games.

Storm: Ryan Papenhuyzen returns from a shoulder injury at fullback, with Nicho Hynes moving to five-eighth and Ryley Jacks to the bench. Tyson Smoothy will start at hooker, with Kenny Bromwich shifting to the back row and Tui Kamikamica to come off the interchange.

Chris Lewis dropped out of the side on game day, with Dean Ieremia the 18th man.

Brandon Smith is suspended while Harry Grant (hamstring) and Cam Munster (foot) are both injured.

Titans: David Fifita will miss two games after failing to have his grade two high tackle charge downgraded at the judiciary. Beau Fermor moves into the second row and new recruit Esan Marsters will play centre in jersey 17. Tanah Boyd retains the five-eighth jersey.

Mitch Kenny drops out of the final 17 and centre Paul Momirovski, returning after serving a three-game suspension, is 18th man with Matt Burton retaining his place in the starting side.

Spencer Leniu and Robert Jennings were the first two players cut 24 hours before kick-off.

The Panthers will be aiming to become only the seventh team to win their first 10 games in a season.
