Vodafone Warriors lose Frei for season

Promising Vodafone Warriors front rower Jackson Frei will miss the 2020 NRL season after rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in last Saturday’s NRL trial against Melbourne in Palmerston North.

The 22-year-old, who is yet to debut in the NRL, made 16 Canterbury Cup appearances for the Vodafone Warriors last season after joining the club from the Sydney Roosters.

Frei is the second prop the Vodafone Warriors have lost to a season-ending ACL injury after 64-game front rower Bunty Afoa suffered the same injury earlier this month.

INJURY LIST

Bunty Afoa Left knee ACL Season
