Dragons: Paul Vaughan was stood down on game day after breaching biosecurity protocols with Josh Kerr taking his spot in the starting side.

Recent signing Kaide Ellis will become St George Illawarra player No.234, coming onto the bench for his club debut following his mid-year switch from Penrith.

In-form centre Euan Aitken has been named and is expected to play despite a hamstring issue last week.

Corey Norman has been dropped with Adam Clune returning from a concussion in the halves alongside Ben Hunt. Trent Merrin (HIA) also returns taking the place of Jacob Host on the bench.

Jason Saab and Host were omitted from the squad 24 hours before kick-off. 

Paul McGregor will coach his 150th game in the NRL.

Roosters: A double blow for the Roosters on Wednesday with prop Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and centre Josh Morris both ruled out with calf injuries.

Lindsay Collins moves into the starting side at prop to replace Waerea-Hargreaves while milestone man Mitch Aubusson shifts to the centres for Morris.

Nat Butcher joins the starting side in the second row and Daniel Fifita and Max Bailey come onto the interchange bench.

Kyle Flanagan has been dropped with Lachlan Lam at halfback and Drew Hutchison called up on the bench.

Captain Boyd Cordner's lay-off after a head knock continues. Aubusson will become the 40th player to play 300 games.

Sea Eagles: Curtis Sironen (knee) and Joel Thompson (ankle) were ruled out on Thursday and Manly were given an exemption by the NRL to add Toafofoa Sipley to their squad.

Haumole Olakau'atu and Corey Waddell have been elevated to the starting second row. Morgan Boyle moves in from the reserves to the interchange.

Tevita Funa replaces Brad Parker (HIA) at centre and Cade Cust is back at five-eighth for Dylan Walker (foot).

Albert Hopoate and Sipley were the last two players cut an hour before kick-off.

The Sea Eagles have won eight of their past 10 games against the Warriors.

Warriors: No late changes expected. Chanel Harris-Tavita starts at halfback following Blake Green's mid-season move to the Knights. The Warriors have not defeated the Sea Eagles in Australia since 2009.

Jack Murchie and Gerard Beale were omitted from the reserves 24 hours before kick-off. Isaiah Papali'i and Adam Keighran were cut an hour before kick-off.

Rabbitohs: Jaydn Su'A was suspended at the judiciary on Tuesday night, with Liam Knight to start in the second row. Jack Johns was initially named as Su'A's replacement but will now come off the bench. Kurt Dillon and Corey Allan were cut from the reserves an hour prior to kick-off, while Troy Dargan was omitted from the squad 24 hours before kick-off.

Broncos: Matt Lodge has been elevated from the reserves to the bench an hour before kick-off with Rhys Kennedy dropping out. David Fifita is good to make his long-awaited injury return in the back row. Brodie Croft returns in the halves and Joe Ofahengaue goes to the bench. Jesse Arthars was the other game-day omission. Cory Paix and Ethan Bullemor dropped off the extended bench on Thursday night.

Storm: Brandon Smith will start at hooker with captain Cameron Smith (shoulder) set to miss a couple of games. Ryan Papenhuyzen is being rested with Nicho Hynes starting at fullback. Justin Olam returns at centre for Marion Seve (ear). Darryn Schonig and Sandor Earl were the two players dropped from the squad an hour before kick-off.

Dale Finucane is also being given the week off with reserve halfback Cooper Johns also omitted on Friday. Tino Fa’Asuamaleaui has been elevated into the starting side. The Storm have won 14 consecutive games at Queensland venues.

Bulldogs: Canterbury will start 1-17 after Kerrod Holland and Renouf To'omaga were the two players left out an hour before kick-off. Ofahiki Ogden moves into the starting side and Sione Katoa starts at hooker with Aiden Tolman and Jeremy Marshall-King benched. Reimis Smith replaces Jack Cogger on the interchange.  

Chris Smith and Matthew Doorey were culled when the squad was reduced to 19 players 24 hours from kick-off.

The Bulldogs have scored only 22 points in their past three games in Queensland.

Knights: Newcastle will start 1-17 after Tex Hoy and Jirah Momoisea were the two players omitted an hour before kick-off. New recruit Blake Green starts at five-eighth, allowing Kurt Mann to shift to hooker in place of Chris Randall. Centres Bradman Best (ankle) and Tautau Moga (dropped) have been replaced by Gehamat Shibasaki and Star Toa, who starts on the wing with Enari Tuala shifting in.

Brodie Jones replaces the suspended Pasami Saulo on the bench. Halfback Mitchell Pearce has scored 12 tries from his past 14 games against Wests Tigers. Randall and Mason Lino were omitted from the extended squad 24 hours before kick-off.

Wests Tigers: In a change announced an hour before kick-off, Chris Lawrence (No.16) will start the match, with Sam McIntyre dropping back to the bench. Alex Seyfarth and Luke Garner were the two players left out an hour before game time. In a host of changes from last week, Star hooker Harry Grant (knee) and lock Alex Twal (ribs) are out injured, with Moses Mbye shifting to dummy half, Matt Eisenhuth back at lock, Tommy Talau moving to centre and new recruit Asu Kepaoa debuting on the wing.

Centre Joey Leilua returns from suspension,. Luke Brooks is back starting in the halves - albeit at five-eighth - with Billy Walters dropping to the pine. Russell Packer returns from suspension in place of Ollie Clark at prop.

Panthers: A late change for the Panthers with winger Malakai Watene-Zelezniak dropping out. Brent Naden shifts from centre to wing and Tyrone May moves from the bench to the centres. Development player Daine Laurie will make his NRL debut off the bench.

Mitch Kenny and Matt Burton were cut from the reserves 24 hours before kick-off. Billy Burns was omitted an hour before kick-off.

Penrith are aiming to equal their 2003 club record of eight consecutive wins.

Raiders: Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad has been confirmed to return from a dislocated finger at fullback, with Jordan Rapana shifting to the wing and the injured Semi Valemei dropping out.

Veteran Michael Oldfield has overcome a hamstring injury and has been included on an extended bench, giving coach Ricky Stuart some much-needed outside back cover. Canberra has scored at least 30 points in their past three games against the Panthers.

Kai O'Donnell and Matt Frawley were omitted 24 hours before kick-off. Sam Williams and Michael Oldfield were cut an hour before game time.

Cowboys: The omission of Shane Wright and Esan Marsters an hour from kick-off means North Queensland will start 1-17. Captain Michael Morgan returns from a shoulder injury at halfback, with Ben Hampton retained at five-eighth. Tom Opacic returns at centre with Justin O'Neill going to the wing and Murray Taulagi out. Clifford and Corey Jensen were the two players omitted on the eve of the match.

Josh McGuire is back from suspension at prop, pushing Francis Molo to the bench, while Jake Granville and Emry Pere have been called up on the interchange. Mitch Dunn starts in the back row with Shane Wright, Gavin Cooper and John Asiata all out of the side. Cowboys utility Ben Hampton has scored five tries from his past four games against the Titans.

Sharks: Josh Dugan, Jesse Ramien and Matt Moylan have been named and will play after overcoming hamstring injuries.

Dugan - who on Thursday said he would be right to play after his hamstring ruled him out of what would have been his 200th NRL game for the past two weeks - returns at centre alongside Ramien, with rookie Jackson Ferris injured and suspended, Siosifa Talakai moving to the second row.

Briton Nikora and Braydon Trindall were the two players dropped from the squad 24 hours before the match. Scott Sorensen will start at lock with Toby Rudolf relegated to the interchange with Jack Williams and Bryson Goodwin missing the final cut.

The Sharks have won six of their past seven games against the Eels.

Eels: Ray Stone replaces Brad Takairangi on the bench with no other changes to the team announced on Tuesday. Ryan Matterson (concussion) is still at least a week away.

Centre Michael Jennings has scored four tries in his past three games against the Sharks.

David Gower and Jai Field were the two players left out 24 hours before kick-off with Brad Takairangi and Stefano Utoikamanu suffering the same fate on game day.
