Warriors players galore in squads

A total of 26 Vodafone Warriors NRL and Warriors NRLW players have been named for teams lining up in the Downer World Cup Nines and in Test matches over the coming four weeks.

For the Nines on in Sydney on October 18 and 19, Leeson Ah Mau, Ken Maumalo and Kodi Nikorima have been selected for the Kiwis while Taane Milne is in the Fiji Bati squad and Bunty Afoa and Ligi Sao have been named for Toa Samoa.

Also chosen for Fiji is Vodafone Junior Warriors winger Selestino Ravutaumada while his under-20 teammates Kayal Iro, Junior Pua and Brody Tamarua are with Cook Islands and William Fakatoumafi has been selected in the Tonga Invitational side.

Two more players – Roger Tuivasa-Sheck (Kiwis) and David Fusitu’a (Tonga Invitational) – have been named in Oceania Cup Test squads while the Fiji Bati and Toa Samoa Oceania Cup Test squads are still to be confirmed.

As well as the men, 13 Warriors women will be appearing. Selected for the Nines are Madison Bartlett, Georgia Hale, Honey Hireme, Onjeurlina Leiataua, Jules Newman, Apii Nicholls, Charntay Poko, Krystal Rota, Aieshaleigh Smalley, Crystal Tamarua, Atawhai Tupaea. Billy-Jean Ale and Annetta Nuuausala join those 11 for the October 25 Test against the Jillaroos on Wollongong.

A total of 13 former Vodafone Warriors NRL or Canterbury Cup players have so far been named in various squads for the Nines and the Oceania Cup Tests.
