Welcome the boys back home

After a month on the road, the Vodafone Warriors are calling on fans to rally behind the team ahead of next Friday night’s return to Mount Smart Stadium as the players fight for a spot in the NRL’s top eight.

The Vodafone Warriors take on the Parramatta Eels at Sydney’s Bankwest Stadium today (5.00pm) in what will be their fourth game in a row outside Auckland.

Heading into the match, they sit just one point outside the top eight after claiming five competition points from their last three matches, including a thrilling draw with the Brisbane Broncos in round 17.

But ahead of their homecoming against the Canberra Raiders next Friday night (8.00pm kick-off), CEO Cameron George is calling on fans to get behind the team and help create a unique and formidable reception at Mount Smart Stadium.

“The boys have had a huge month with some very tough performances on the road,” he said.

“We are now in the crunch stage of the season and every little thing counts. We want our fans to pack the stands and be loud and proud when we take on the Raiders next Friday.”

From now through to kick-off against the Raiders next week, Vodafone Warriors fans will be able to purchase GA tickets at a reduced rate of just $10 per ticket when they enter the code: fortress

“The next stretch of games will have a massive bearing on how our season plays out. The boys are up for it and we know our fans are too,” George added.

“Help us lift the roof off the stadium and show the Raiders what Vodafone Warriors fans are made of.”
