Mt Albert 20 Otahuhu 24

Otahuhu overcame a 14-6 half-time deficit to hand Mt Albert their first loss of 2019. The Leopards scored early in the second half and never looked back, with Geronimo Doyle's perfect day with the boot a key difference. 

Bay Roskill 36 Mangere East 10

Bay Roskill picked up their second win of the year, getting past Mangere East 32-10 at Blockhouse Bay Reserve. Prop Xavier Tutaki was among the best on field, scoring two tries, while captain Lila Vaivai was strong in the middle of the park. 

Richmond 28 Marist 42

Feleti Ngahe scored three tries as Marist picked up a vital victory over Richmond. The three tries for Ngahe took his personal tally to five in two games. Marist scored three tries inside the opening 10 minutes and were up 30-4 at the break before Richmond staged a comeback.

Glenora 18 Howick 26

The Howick Hornets turned a dominant first half into a victory over the Glenora Bears at Lawson Park. Up 18-0 at half-time, Glenora wouldn't go away and scored inside the final 20 minutes to give themselves a chance, but the game management of Jethro Friend helped lift the Hornets to victory. 

Papakura 24 Northcote 32

The Northcote Tigers remain undefeated in the SAS Fox Memorial Premiership Qualifiers after overcoming the Papakura Sea Eagles at Prince Edward Park. The Tigers were up 16-12 at the break and scored two tries in the final 20 minutes to secure the win, with second-rower Nalu Tuigamala a standout and Kenny Stewart scoring a double. 

Pt Chevalier 44 Manurewa 0

A hat trick of tries to winger Harley Maynard was more than enough for the Pt Chevalier Pirates to pick up a win over the Manurewa Marlins. Up 20-0 at half-time, the Pirates went on with the job in second stanza.

 

Rd #7 Fox Championship Qualifiers match reports

Northern Brothers 28 New Lynn 24

Three tries in the final 15 minutes saw Northern Brothers overcome New Lynn and pick up their second win of the year. The side from the North Shore were down 24-6 with 30 minutes to go, with John Faaee scoring two tries in the win. 

Ellerslie 42 Pukekohe 20

Ellerslie jumped into the competition's top four with a big victory over Pukekohe at Ellerslie Domain. The Pythons scored first, but Ellerslie fought back to lead 14-8 at the break and then ran away with it in the second spell. Fullback Marcel Connal was a standout for the Eagles.

Ponsonby 12 Te Atatu 44

Winger Anthony Goulton grabbed three tries in Te Atatu's comfortable victory over Ponsonby, as the Roosters further cemented their place in the top four. Te Atatu have now won their last three on the trot. 

Papatoetoe 16 Hibiscus Coast 72

Hibiscus Coast powered to victory over the Papatoetoe Panthers at Kohuora Park. The win was the Raiders’ fourth in six games in the Crown Lift Trucks Fox Championship Qualifiers.

Manukau 26 Pakuranga 22

A double to Taunga Arama helped the Manukau Magpies secure a come-from-behind win over the Pakuranga Jaguars at Moyle Park. Down 16-12 at half-time, the Magpies came out firing in the second half to score three tries.

Mt Wellington 30 Otara 18

A big second half effort saw the Mt Wellington Warriors beat the Otara Scorpions at Thompson Park. Down 12-8 at half-time, the Warriors scored four tries in the second spell to secure the win.
