The new-look Fox Memorial Premiership kicks off this weekend, with a Grand Final rematch between Pt Chevalier and Glenora opening the season on Friday night at Mt Smart Stadium.

The match kicks off at 5.40pm and will be played as the curtain-raiser to the Vodafone Warriors v Gold Coast Titans NRL match at Mt Smart Stadium, with live coverage on SKY Sport 2.

In addition to the two competition points on the line in that game, the Stormont Shield champion of champions trophy will also be up for grabs.

The newly-promoted Manurewa Marlins face a tough ask first up, taking on 2018 play-off side Northcote, while last year's second division champions, the Bay Roskill Vikings, travel away to play Papakura.

Mangere East have their first competitive run under new head coach Richie Blackmore, taking on Otahuhu at Bert Henham Park, and across town in Howick the Hornets host Richmond while Marist and Mt Albert meet in a local derby at Murray Halberg Park.
