Ola, NZ’s newest rideshare platform, signs on with club

Ola, one of the world’s largest rideshare companies, has inked a new sponsorship deal with the Vodafone Warriors as the club’s official rideshare partner.

Ola will offer fans discounts on rides and special promotions  throughout the season and Vodafone Warriors Commercial Manager, Glenn Critchley said the club is excited to partner with the rapidly growing global company.

“We are really pleased to be working with such an innovative and creative global brand like Ola. Fan experience on our game days is a huge focus for the Vodafone Warriors – we were second in the NRL for that last year and we really want to be number one this year. Ease of transport definitely plays a part in this experience. We are really looking forward to working with Ola throughout our season,” said Critchley.

Ola Country Head for New Zealand, Brian Dewil, said Ola is pleased to be partnering with the Vodafone Warriors.

"We are excited to partner with the Vodafone Warriors and improve the match-day experience for fans travelling to Mt Smart Stadium. Ola offers Kiwis a reliable rideshare service which provides a safe and affordable alternative and a better deal for drivers, with lower commission rates that allow them to earn more. This new alliance with the Vodafone Warriors is part of our commitment to providing better transport solutions for New Zealanders,” said Dewil.

To mark the partnership, Ola, which operates in more than 125 cities across the world including Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and most major cities in Australia, is offering new customers who download the app a $20 discount off their first ride, with the promo code ‘WARRIORS'*.

*Free ride up to the value of $20 NZD. Valid only for new users of Ola. Offer expires 31 October. Full Ts and Cs on Ola website.
