Blake Green wears the No 7 jersey with Adam Keighran at standoff for the Vodafone Warriors’ second NRL trial against Wests Tigers at the Northland Events Centre in Whangarei today (5.00pm kick-off).
Green is among a host of the club’s frontline players lining up today after being left out of the Melbourne trial last week.
While he wore the No 6 jersey last season, he filled the halfback’s role directing the side.
As well as Green, Dally M Medal winner and captain Roger Tuivasa-Sheck comes into the side along with internationals David Fusitu’a, Peta Hiku, Solomone Kata and Ken Maumalo in the outside backs.
After making an impressive return from his season-long injury lay-off last year, hooker Nathaniel Roache again starts with Kiwis Agnatius Paasi and new signing Leeson Ah Mau the starting props.
Vodafone Warriors head coach Stephen Kearney has Kiwis Tohu Harris and Adam Blair in the second row with 2018 rookie of the year Isaiah Papali’i at loose forward.
