Front rower Albert Vete,  captain Mason Lino and loose forward Jazz Tevaga have been named to make their first Intrust Super Premiership appearances of the year when the Vodafone Warriors face Canterbury-Bankstown in Saturday’s second-round encounter at Mount Smart Stadium (2.45pm kick-off).

Vete is back from serving a one-match suspension hanging over from last season while Lino has been included after travelling to Perth for the NRL team’s match against South Sydney. Lino has also been named once again on the NRL side’s extended bench this week.

Likewise Tevaga, who was on the bench in Perth, is also in the extended NRL squad for this week’s contest.

Also listed is prop Agnatius Paasi. Originally selected on the bench for the NRL side, Paasi stayed back in Auckland to make his return from a knee injury in the ISP side’s 30-22 win over North Sydney last Saturday. He impressed with 190 metres from 21 runs.

Set for his second ISP appearance is 18-year-old fullback Hayze Perham who marked his debut with a player of the day display against the Bears. He made 159 metres from 17 runs and had two try assists, three line break assists, five off loads and 15 supports.

The Bulldogs come to Auckland off a 10-32 loss to Western Suburbs last weekend.

The Vodafone Junior Warriors welcome co-captain Tyler Slade, who missed the first-round 16-24 Jersey Flegg Cup loss to the Bears.

The young Bulldogs started their season with a 30-10 win over Wests Tigers.
