Halfback Shaun Johnson feels refreshed as he looks forward to his return from injury in the Vodafone Warriors' last home game of the season against Manly at Mount Smart Stadium on Sunday.

The 26-year-old 142-game playmaker says he can't wait to be out on the field again with he team-mates after being side-lined with a posterior cruciate ligament injury since the club's loss to Penrith on July 14.

Asked whether it was a risk coming back now, Johnson retorted emphatically: "I've got a lot to play for. That's why I want to play the last two games.

"As a team it's a chance to get better, as a player it's a chance to get better. Why would I want to miss those opportunities? Why would anyone want to think that? If I'm fit to play I'm playing whatever's at the end of the year, whatever the situation is for the club."
