James Gavet: ISP rugby league

Back rowers James Bell and Isaiah Papali’i have both been named in the Vodafone Warriors’ starting line-up for Saturday’s second-round Intrust Super Premiership clash against Canterbury-Bankstown at Mount Smart Stadium No 1 (1.00pm kick-off).

Bell missed last Sunday’s 52-24 win over Newcastle with injury while Papali’i made his NRL debut against the Knights. He has also been included on the NRL side’s extended bench for Friday night’s encounter with Melbourne.

Others included in both squads are veteran wing Manu Vatuvei, prop James Gavet and Mason Lino. All three turned out for the ISP side against the Knights.

While the Ricky Henry-coached Vodafone Warriors won impressively on Sunday, the Bulldogs lost 14-22 to the Mounties.

Vodafone Junior Warriors coach Grant Pocklington has named the same starting line-up used in Sunday’s heavy loss to Newcastle but he has included 10 players on an extended bench.

The Vodafone Junior Warriors face a Melbourne side coming off victory against the Bulldogs last Friday.
